How to accept a notification

The Accept Notification feature allows supervisors to acknowledge alerts and record the actions they took in response. This helps ensure that every alert is properly handled and documented for accountability and future reference.


Why should I accept a notification?

  • Clear Documentation – Records the supervisor’s name, note, and the exact time the alert was accepted.
  • Improved Communication – Ensures the team knows who responded and how the worker was assisted.
  • Accountability – Provides a clear audit trail of how notifications are handled.
  • Works for All Notifications – Can be used for any type of alert, including physiological alerts, fall alerts, tap alerts and no movement alerts. You can also accept return-to-works.

How to Accept a Notification

  1. Find the Notification

    Navigate to the alert in the notification dock.

  2. Click “Accept”

    Select the Accept button associated with the alert.

  3. Add a Note

    Enter details such as how the worker was doing or what action you took.

    Submit

    Once submitted, the system will save:

    • Your name
    • Your note
    • The time of acceptance

This information will remain attached to the notification for reference.

Do I have to leave a note when I accept a notification?

Yes, notes are mandatory and leaving one adds helpful context for your team.


Who can see my acceptance note?

  • All admins in the organization
  • All site leaders that are in the same site as the notification
  • If the notification is tied to a user, then all group leaders that are in the same group as the user
  • If the notification is tied to a user, then the user that triggered the notification

Can I accept alerts from my phone?

Not yet. SlateSafety Go does not currently support accepting notifications, but this will be coming soon.


What if multiple supervisors accept the same notification?

A notification can only be accepted once. Once the notification is accepted, all other accounts will see that it has been accepted already and is no longer editable.


Can I edit or delete a note after submitting it?

No, notes are permanent records to maintain accountability. If a correction is needed, please reach out to support@slatesafety.com
