How can the BAND V2 connect without cellular?
Even if your country is not yet listed in the above table, you can still use the SlateSafety system! The SlateSafety system can connect in 2 other ways:
1) Via SlateSafety GATEWAY V2s (ethernet or WiFi)
GATEWAY V2s provide a local connection that serves BAND V2s and BEACON V2s in areas that lack cellular coverage. Gateway V2s are typically used in fixed locations across a facility and have around 0.25 miles of range (0.4 kilometers).
2) Via SlateSafety Go on iOS and Android
By downloading SlateSafety Go on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and logging in, you will be able to create a local connection and view real-time data and notifications from nearby BAND V2s without needing a cellular connection or any other infrastructure.
Coming soon: SlateSafety Go does not currently connect data to the SlateSafety cloud for data recording, but this capability is in development. For now, you will need a GATEWAY V2 or a cellular connection.
Final Note
Connectivity can be challenging without cellular connectivity, so please work with your SlateSafety account representative for a tailored approach or for any questions or issues.
