Standardize User Name Formats Across Your Organization
Enforcing a standardized naming convention across your organization allows for easier user management and improves search efficiency.
Common Example:
For example, you can enforce that all first names match the format "AA00000". This means that the first two characters must be letters and the last 5 characters must be numbers. In many cases, this format would be for enforcing having the employee's first name initial, last name initial, and then 5 digit employee id. See the screenshot belows:
How to Configure Name Enforcement
Note: You must have Admin privileges in your organization to modify these settings.

Log in to your account and select Organization from the main navigation menu.

Go to Settings > Enforce User Name Format.

Choose your preferred naming structure for first name, last name, or both.
- Click Save to apply the rule across your organization.
Note: The new name enforcement settings are not retroactive — only when editing and creating new users will the new name formats be enforced.
