BAND V2: Hardware Errors
To help make management of BAND V2s simpler, BAND V2s will notify wearers and supervisors when they have an error that could prevent them from successful use.
What is a Hardware Error?
At SlateSafety, we want to make management of your BAND V2 deployments as easy as possible. One important aspect of this involves keeping BAND V2 admins informed. For this reason, BAND V2s now provide feedback on their hardware health status in real-time. If a BAND V2 is in a “Hardware Error” state, it will now notify wearers and alert contacts.
Hardware errors are rare, but if you do see one, we recommend first rebooting the BAND V2. If the BAND V2 still has an error after both a Soft and Hard reboot, then reach out to SlateSafety support.
What does a Hardware Error look and feel like?
IThe best indication that a BAND V2 is not working properly would be a noticeable flashing red LED while on charger or immediately when placed on body.
Below is a video showcasing the haptic and LED feedback that a BAND V2 will provide when a Hardware Error is triggered. The Red flashing LED feedback and the vibration feedback lasts for about 40 seconds, which is noticeably longer than a Biometric Alert lasts.
What should I do when a Hardware Error triggers?
To resolve the error, first attempt to reboot the device.
If the problem persists please reach out to SlateSafety support (support@slatesafety.com) to further troubleshoot.
